Pi Not Me Home

So I haven't taken too many pictures in the past week and for a good reason! Jason and I have been very busy. Last Monday we moved to a town nearby Bang Saen (where we were previously staying).

Here we are teaching English at the Lorenzo Home, which is a Catholic aids orphanage. I had visited Lorenzo Home the last time I was in Thailand and feel in love with the children there. This time around is no different.

Jason and I spend a few hours a day 4 days a week teaching English and playing games. Not only have we been having an amazing time with the children, but we have really been enjoying being teachers. I can't get over how much of an odd and enjoyable experience it has been to be a respected teacher. I teach the older of the two classes (10-14 years old) and there are about 7 kids in my class. They are very attentive and respectful, not to mention smart!

Along with spending time preparing lessons for our classes at Lorenzo Home, we spend most of our time at Aun and Somchaay's house helping Aun make materials for the course curriculum that she is creating. (Somchaay is the pastor of "the Promise Church" and Aun is his wife and teacher/owner of "the Best" English teaching centre.) Aun has and is extremely busy, with three young children 8 classes to teach, exams to mark and curriculum that she needs to have done for this upcomming week. So we help her prepare what needs to be prepered.

I also have been helping Sam (there son) with his homework and exam studying. I have fallen in love with their daughter Saay. She is another excuse for my wanting daughters in the future. Sarah (their youngest daughter) is just adorable. Sam loves to play the drums. He is only six and he is about as good as I am on the drums...if he stuck with drums, he could be an amazing drummer one day...

Anyways, lots of other stuff has been happening that has been super fun. I have been blessed to see how God is working here in Thailand.
Sarah and I.

It took me a good 12-15 minutes, but I got her to sleep.

Some random Lorenzo Home pics...

This is me teaching my class...and loving it!

Jason has the younger children and today they studied the names of body parts. They coloured and pasted together body parts as seen behind them on the wall.

This picture can be described as money in the bank. Jason and I not only have our own place to live here, we also have our own motorbike. Driving around on a bike in Thailand is quite an experience...(remember...left side of the road!)

This past Sunday at the Promise Church.
